Wasn't sure where to post this, so I figured here would be a good place for it. I am the creator of Paronicon for the CoD series, and since those servers now officially suck, and new games almost guarantee to not give us hostable servers, I took on a new project. This one is for Arma2/Arma3 (maybe more, but these are what I'm testing with). Will do some more backwards testing soon. There are some tools out there for the arma series in general, but none with the feature set that I (we at GSN Gaming) were looking for, so I set out to build my own. It is very close to being ready and I am looking for people to test it out for me. Let me know if you are interested.

It will currently only work with a MySQL database (it will be able to run on SQLite as well for those that don't have MySQL or don't want to set one up). If you need a MySQL server, I will give you a database on my server for you to test with if you would like. Just need people to test it out for now and give me some solid feedback. We (As server admins) need some good tools to help us do our jobs. I'm also welcoming any feedback as to what features and what should be included.

Thanks for reading! @Dwarden - I'm aware, but all of those tools are TERRIBLY lacking in features and don't do a good job at overcoming BE's protocol flaws (which are abundant). ARMACon will be multi-server and will allow management of the server from in-game as well as other servers that are configured in ARMACon. (This is why I dislike the fact that the server doesn't report chat if no one 'sees' it in game). It also has the option to parse the netlog so that you can map the SteamID to the be_guid (which was also messed up when the location of the netlog was moved, because if multiple servers are running, there is no way to tell which file is for which server without knowing the process ID).
When I built Paronicon (for Call of Duty), there were already 3 or 4 tools out for it but I felt the community could have a better one. It ended up being used by over 200 communities to manage over 1000 servers accross the world and is still used today.

Arma 3 Rcon Setup
I build tools for fun and not for the fame or glory. I see gaps in tools and I fill those gaps. I accept donations, of course, but I never expect to charge for my tools not do I want to. Finally, ARMACon will have a full RESTful API that will allow people to use it however they see fit as well, which will give communities the ability to uild them into their admin tools as well as iOS and Android controllers to be made (if I don't build them myself).
I'll shoot you some examples when I have time to build working examples of them for you. The biggest point is that you have to 'babysit' the protocol. You ask for a ban list, and recieve a player list instead and vice versa. My goal in my post, wasn't to bash BE (although, admittedly, that is what it looks like:) ).
My goal was merely to say that these tools, while they do work, are not NEARLY as full featured as an RCON tool for ARMA 2/3 should/could be. Additionally, since they cache the banlists, if you have more than one person using the tool at the same time, unbans/bans can be lifted accidentally if people don't refresh because BE doesn't alert you that the list has changed.

While I admit that the admin should refresh before they take any action, we need to make it as easy as we can on ARMA server admins as it is one of the most difficult servers to manage. We have run the #1 servers in the world for CoD BO, BFBC2, BF3, and some of the top for BF4 and ARMA is by far the most demanding on our staff. That is why I Started this tool (and the same reason I did Paronicon).
